T2S developed this mixed-use scheme in Barnet on behalf of their long-term client Klara Homes.

The site is triangular shaped, with complex urban constraints - as is typical in London – which acted as an interesting stimulant for our design.

A stepped frontage is created to frame the apartments and their associated balconies. This also helped to create a well-proportioned rhythm to a wide fronted site.

Angular setbacks are used to create interesting shadows and to reinforce the sense of solidity and form.

​

Each floor reduces in a cascading effect to limit the design’s impact on the adjacent dwellings. Parapets are used to create privacy whilst in keeping with the solid form.
